Athletes Who are good role models

So there are so many articles about how athletes are getting in trouble with the law, morality issues and just problems. So here is a list of athletes who are great role models. These are a few of many.

  • Brandon Marshall: When it comes to mental health NOBODY gives back like Brandon Marshall. He started his own foundation for project 375 to raise awareness for borderline personality disorder. Also put Arian Foster on this list the second guy to come out with BPD.
  • Corey Coleman: I don't know why, with so many college athletes there are a lot of great role models, but Coleman intrigues me. He is a forgiving person that did not come from an easy background.
  • Jason Collins, Derrick Gordon and Michael Sam and Gareth Thomas: As 4 of the first big athletes to come out as gay (Thomas is a rugby player in London) I hope that they are an inspiration for anyone who feels like they are different to show they can overcome hurdles other people put in front of them.
  • Drew Brees and Kevin Durant: So there are a lot of athletes that give back to their community. But Brees and Durant (neither from the area where they play) gave back to the communities where they play (Brees in New Orleans and Durant in Oklahoma City) as both cities have gone through a lot. Durant is just cool. There are stories that if kids knock on his door and want to play video games with him, he will play with them.
  • Pat Neshek: First of all he has gone through a lot with his son. Second his pitching motion did not make it easy. Third as a guy from Minnesota it was a very cool moment when he was named an all star in Minnesota. But, as an autograph collector Neshek is absolutely the best. If you want an autograph for your kid this is who to send it to.
  • Tre Demps and Justin Jackson: So it is amazing how many athletes can make an impact on a few people. For me these two have been very generous and nice to me.
So please remember than when you hear about all these athletes not doing the right thing that there are many athletes that do the right thing. So instead of booing guys, well I guess I get if you do, cheer on some of these guys and the other great guys in sports.
